Top 10 tips for planning the perfect wedding

Top 10 Tips for planning the perfect wedding.

  1. Start Planning Early

The earlier you start planning your special day the easier and less stressful it will be. Have a clear plan as this will help you keep on top on everything. Get insurance, an estimated guest list and a budget. These should be your top three priorities.

  1. Budget

Do not spend any money or pay any deposits until you have set a budget. Without a budget in mind, things can get out of hand as lots of little things add up. There may be additional costs such as dress alterations, hair and beauty and gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen which can all add up.

  1. Many hands make light work

Don’t think you have to do everything yourself. There will be friends and family who may like to give a helping hand in organising your special day. Getting help from people you trust, and giving them information as to what you want may help in you not getting so stressed with everything.

  1. Selecting the guests

Sorting a guest list early is important to you can focus on finding your venue that will cater for your chosen number of guests. From this you can work out costs per head, making sure they match your initial budget.

  1. Choosing the right venue

Think about the location of your venue making sure it is in within easy access for the majority of your guests. Ensure that the venue meets your requirements in terms of food, drinks and capacity. You may choose to have a civil ceremony, an outdoor wedding or an exclusive use venue. Be aware that many venues take more than one wedding per day, so if this is a concern then opt for a venue which only offers a one bride policy. Check out our weddings!

  1. Bridesmaids

Your bridesmaids should be your biggest support throughout the whole wedding planning and throughout the celebrations. Choose people who you feel would be able to support you and that you are in regular contact with.

  1. Choosing the best photographer

A wedding album is something you will look back at in years to come, so don’t underestimate the importance of a good photographer. Do your research and find someone who you like and understands exactly what you want.

  1. Let the groom help too

Giving your fiancé his own responsibilities and getting him involved with the music, menu and budgets will hopefully help to relieve all the stress from yourself.

  1. It’s all about you two

Make the little details personal to you both. From stationary, favours and table centres. Making as many things as personal as possible will help to make your day one which all your guests will remember.

  1. Don’t forget what’s important

Wedding planning can be a stressful time, but take a step back and remember a wedding is about marring the love of your life…. So enjoy it!
