We would like to introduce to you Samantha Bunkell.
Samantha has worked with us for three and a half years primarily as one of our very valued waiting on and bar staff members.
At the age of sixteen she trained in silver service waitressing and progressed in hospitality alongside her studies at university. In recent weeks Samantha has worked in numerous roles within the castle, for which we are grateful.
Samantha has completed her Masters degree in Film and Television at Sunderland University. She has been using industry standard filming equipment and working in TV studios to create short films and TV shows… Let’s hope she remembers us when she’s famous!
During her time at the castle Samantha confesses to having made many great friends whom she refers to as her family. Her favourite part of working at the castle is working in our 1189 bar and kitchen during a very busy Sunday Lunch. She explains that when it is busy the atmosphere is at it’s best!
Samantha dislikes Autumn and winter months when it’s cold and raining and much prefers summer when it is warm and she can go to music festivals and abroad with friends. In fact, she is already filling her 2021 calendar with places to visit and things to look forward to. A holiday to Ibiza with the girls is firmly on the cards, as is a city break to London with her Mum
Samantha is a really dedicated member of our team and has demonstrated this in many ways. Not least by coming in to work on Christmas Day in 2018 on crutches! She had an accident during the Christmas break but still managed to work – providing some entertainment for her colleagues throughout the day. Thanks Sam for all your hard work and we look forward to seeing you back at the castle again soon!
