National Seafood Week

Autumn is well and truly here, what better way that to beat the cold weather than by having some freshly cooked fish to celebrate National Seafood Week taking place between 5-12 October 2018.

Seafood Week at Walworth

Our preferred supplier is Taylor Foods, who are experienced fishmongers based in North Shields. They hold prime position on the famous Fish Quay where they source prepare and deliver fresh fish and seafood directly to Walworth Castle Hotel.

If you want to try a delicious lunch, come and join us in our Farmers Restaurant for Moules Marinara served with fries and crusty bread, which is served throughout the day, or perhaps fresh Scottish salmon and asparagus tagliatelle with a white wine sauce.

On our dinner menu we have a delicious homemade Salmon and dill fishcake, served with a soft poached egg and hollandaise sauce, perfect as a starter. For a seafood inspired main, why not try our delicious Paella which has fresh king prawns, squid, mussels, as well as chicken and chorizo. We also have our ever popular beer battered fish and chips with chips, garden peas and tartar sauce. Meals are served in our Farmers Restaurant where you can be sure of a warm North East welcome.

All the dishes are always prepared freshly from the castles kitchen, using wonderful ingredients and we make everything in house. Our head chef Steve is passionate about local produce and we hope you will come and try some of the delicious dishes on offer.

So for fish lovers everywhere we have a selection of dishes which would whet your appetite just in time for National Seafood Week. We look forward to welcoming you to Walworth Castle Hotel.
