Sarah and Jordan got married at the castle on 23rd October 2021, and wrote into the hotel to let us know what an amazing day they had. The email not only brought a tear to our eyes, it mentioned lots of members of staff who have worked so hard during the last few months to make peoples weddings a day to remember. Lots of our couples had to postpone their special day due to the pandemic so when we got their lovely feedback, it really did mean so much to us. The email was so lovely we asked if we could use it for a blog. So here goes…..
Jess… We would like to start off by thanking you for making our day more magical and special than we could have ever imagined. Throughout the planning process, you were amazing; your advice, support and calming nature was something we truly needed from the start, all the way to the final weeks when the stress and nerves started to kick in. You listened to everything we wanted and we felt that you just wanted to make our day the best day of our lives. You even make a note to stop Dennis from talking, which made us laugh when we heard it, but it made us realise that you took our thoughts into consideration throughout. We can’t thank you enough for the effort you put in, in those final few days including getting into contact with people. On arrival you made everything so easy and we would like to thank you for the 13 times you had to sort Jordan’s key out and letting him back in the room. You were a calming face that made us both relax and really start to enjoy the occasion.
Now onto the wedding day, from start to finish we felt like royalty. Jess and Joleen were stars throughout. Joleen was there at every point to make sure we were okay and had everything we could have possible needed. She ensured that every part of the preparation was dealt with swiftly, so much so there were things done we didn’t even realise until after. She was there to settle me down and ensure that I got to see everything before the day hit full flow. She was definitely the calming face that Jordan needed to see, ensuring that he had a laugh, calmed down and didn’t end up in A&E due to hyperventilating. When preparing for the bird she asked if it was okay to stand at the back to help with the bird but truth be told we couldn’t have imagined the ceremony without her. She ensured that the reception went perfectly and that everyone had everything the could have needed, taking everyone into consideration. Then the meal, she was amazing ensuring that everything went well, which we would like to thank Melissa for as well as she was essential in making the day go smoothly. Then the speeches the laughs the staff shared when Joel was late made us smile and seeing them all stood there enjoying it make us feel amazing. Once the wedding breakfast had ended the room change was effortless and we didn’t realise how fast a room can be made to look so beautiful. We could not have been prouder to be introduced as Mr and Mrs Messenger by Joleen on various occasions and when she left we felt sad as she was such an important part of the day.
However when she passed over to Unsal, there was no change he was amazing. Everything we wanted or needed was dealt with straight away and there were even points where he did things for our guests and we didn’t even notice. He constantly he asked to see if we were okay and made sure that the food was served perfectly. We would also like to thank him for his professionalism and kind nature when communicating with our entertainment, nothing was ever too much and he ensured they felt as comfortable as the guests did. The way he was there at the end of the night to check on us and make sure we had a good time was something that we will never forget.
We would also like to thank the staff within the hotel, they were amazing! The were friendly and welcoming and again more than we could have ever imagined. They are a credit to your hotel and the way in which you conduct yourselves. Jamie was fantastic as well every single person who spoke to him had nothing but good things to say about him and he made both the Friday and Saturday such an enjoyable time, which we can’t thank him enough for.
Now, when we booked your hotel for our wedding we booked it based on the looks outside and the elegance it showed, however unbeknown to us the true beauty and elegance was inside with yourself, Joleen, Unsal and the staff. You all truly made our day the best day we could have ever imagined. When we left on Sunday morning, saying our goodbyes made us cry, not tears of sadness but tears of joy, appreciation and love. At no point throughout the weekend did any of you feel like staff, you felt like our guests and we are truly humbled that you worked our wedding as you were as big a part as everything and everyone else in making it the best day of our lives. We are now on Tuesday and every day we have thought about what you all did for us and how we will never be able to express just how much it means to us. You truly are the kindest, most amazing, beautiful, caring people we could have ever met and we will forever hold you all in our hearts for what you did for us as words could never do it justice.
We will be forever grateful and we wish you nothing but happiness for everything, but don’t get too carried away because we will be in touch. What you thought that now were married you’d get rid of us.? We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary and you all best make sure you’re free to sit and say hi.
