Your wedding is the most important day of your life. You’ve confirmed your time slot with the registrars, and you’ve paid your deposit with the venue, but what to do next? Begin the planning process and confirming your suppliers of course!
You may want to dress the venue yourself and at Walworth Castle this is a possibility. However, never underestimate the task! There is always a lot to do (sometimes more than you think!) and we may have a wedding the day before yours, meaning you won’t have access to the rooms until 7am on the morning of your big day! Remember, what goes up must come down and if we have a wedding the day after, it may have to come down at midnight! That’s why we would always recommend using a venue stylist. Lucy at XLB Events is our recommended supplier. She’s been coming to the castle for many years and always does a fantastic job! We know you’d be in great hands!
Next up – a photographer. You want photos that you can look back on in years to come and say ‘I remember that’ and smile. You want someone you enjoy the planning process with and feel comfortable with on your day. You want someone who has experience at the venue and of course, a photographer who knows the best places for those special shots! We have three recommended photographers, all of whom have done lots of weddings at the Castle – And Ever After Photography, Claire Hirst Photography & Claire Collinson Photography.
At Walworth Castle, you get your three course wedding breakfast included as well as your evening buffet – but what about the first dance? Mr Deejay aka Justin Hornsby is your man! He’s played at hundreds of weddings at Walworth over the years and is sure to get you and your guests dancing the night away. Our Popcorn Machine, Candy Cart & Ice Cream Bike are all available for hire and our couples find these work best during their reception drinks. But what if you want someone to entertain your guests as well? Andy Larmouth, our recommended magician is guaranteed to wow your guests from the word go! Just don’t ask us how he does it, we’re still trying to figure that out for ourselves!
Remember, at Walworth Castle we only host one wedding a day meaning our focus is solely on you, the Bride & Groom and your guests.
