Room 26 is a Superior Double set in the north-east corner of Walworth Castle, with a traditional wooden four-poster bed at the heart of the room.
Natural wood continues through the wardrobe and dressing table, complemented by light-coloured walls to create a natural feel. There’s a dressing table and seat, TV and tea and coffee-making facilities, while a large window looks out across the north side of the Castle grounds, with views of the mature trees and the pond beside the woodland.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. This room doesn’t have a bath.
Room 26 is on the first floor with no lift access. From reception, guests follow the Castle corridor and take the staircase beside the ballroom, before turning left along the corridor. On the way, you’ll pass windows overlooking the glass roof of Cardinal’s Court and the Castle’s original entrance, with its stained glass and historic architecture.
There are 28 stairs to reach the first floor, plus a couple of additional steps inside the entrance to the room.
