Room 16 is a characterful three-room Superior Suite set within the original tower of Walworth Castle, the oldest part of the building and once home to the Castle’s original living quarters.
The suite has a separate bedroom in the tower, a bathroom and a spacious living area. Rich purples and blacks give the bedroom a cosy, Gothic feel, with a canopy above the double bed, a suit of armour standing in the corner of the living area and LED candle lights hanging from the ceiling.
The bathroom is accessible via the living area and includes a freestanding bath, walk-in shower, toilet and sink.
Two large windows in the living area offer different views: one overlooks the gardens and outdoor wedding pavilion and features a window seat; the second faces west across the car park and gardens, which is a lovely spot to catch the sunset on a clear evening. The bedroom also has a window overlooking the gardens and outdoor wedding pavilion.
Room 16 is on the first floor with no lift access. From reception, guests follow the Castle corridor before taking the staircase beside the ballroom, with 28 steps in total.
