With the route of the 2019 UCI road world championships now released its time look forward and plan that ride or catch all the action to one of the greatest events in the cycling calendar. Situated a ride away from the hubs of Northallerton (20 miles – an hours steady ride) and Ripon (35 miles – an hour and a half) you can easily find yourself in the thick of the action cheering on your heroes. Which route you take and what you take in along the way is up to you! Quiet country lanes, spectacular scenery and climbs to kill for are not in short supply – but beware, choose your route carefully! For those of you that might enjoy something a little more challenging then why not head out to the route of the 2014 Tour de France and take in the men’s elite race in Reeth or on the climb or Grinton. The Dales bike centre in Fremington will be the place to stop and refuel and serves excellent cakes and coffee.
